Last Night's Art Night in Hackney...

Like a fashion anthem in September 2003 almost every runway show in New York included the high-energy song Crazy in Love by Beyoncé and Jay-Z. It characterized the mood of the time as we all came back to life, eager to get moving again, after the trauma of 9/11. As a part of this rebirth, Fashionistas debated which model had the fiercest walk, who could bring that special energy to the collections they were presenting as New York began its rejuvenation...

Hands down, Jacquetta Wheeler always came tops for her walk, especially for the way she swung her arms. Perhaps because she is a fellow blogger, posting at Vogue, she was kind enough to pose for me last night in Hackney.
